The atomic cat was the mascot of the 1950s living room, and this one is drawn the way the period drew it: long neck, tall ears and one sweeping tail. The sitting cat silhouette is cut clean through a boomerang shaped birch plaque, so the wall behind you becomes part of the design. Change the wall color and the cat changes with it. The birch is finished with a stain that deepens the natural grain, gives the piece its warm period tone, and makes the cut out cat read crisply against the wall.
